The final evening of 2010 is heralded
by a dazzling drinks reception – join us on the red
carpet and meet fellow party guests over champagne and canapés and
a smile for the camera... the perfect prelude to a spectacular
five-course gourmet dinner. Marvel at the Oscars award ceremony
after dinner and as a single piper proclaims the arrival of 2011,
toast your good fortune with a glass of bubbly and keep on dancing
through ‘til one.
Dress code: red carpet dickie bows and
fabulous frocks!
The Camellia Experience
The distinctive sound of a single piper will ring through the
hotel as champagne and canapés are served in the lounges. Indulge
in a seven-course menu exploring exquisite flavours and taste
sensations. Then raise a glass of champagne at midnight. The
string quartet is here for your delight and the skilled
caricaturist is on hand to do a quick-fire drawing of you and your
partner.
As midnight approaches, Big Ben will be brought to life as we
project this
iconic British landmark onto a large screen in the Drawing Room.

bit of fun, we’ll share some New Year traditions from around the
world with
you… find out why the Spanish eat one grape with every toll or when
the
New Year begins, the Japanese people begin to laugh and the Swiss
let a drop
of cream land on the floor on New Years Day

a slow, lazy morning (perhaps even breakfast in bed?) then blow
away the cobwebs with a stroll in the gardens or a round of golf at
our sister property, Mannings Heath Golf Club
11.00am: Gather
together for our toe-tapping New Year’s Day Jazz Brunch buffet
served in the South Downs Suite
